The role of Hamburg@work within nextMedia.Hamburg
As part of a public-private partnership, nextMedia.Hamburg is jointly funded by the Hamburg@work association and the media office of the Senate’s Chancellery. As a private partner Hamburg@work represents the interests of companies from the digital industry in the initiative. Members of the association are businesses and individuals involved in the digital value chain.
In addition to its own event formats, Hamburg@work also supports numerous partner events. Member companies and partners thus have the opportunity to call attention to their own business in a network that comprises 15,000 decision-makers and opinion leaders.
Furthermore, Hamburg@work has strong national and international partners, among them the Bundesverband Versandhandel (bevh), the Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft (BVDW), bremen digitalmedia, Digitale Stadt Düsseldorf, DiWiSH Digitale Wirtschaft Schleswig-Holstein, media.net berlin brandenburg, Web de Cologne, the ALWAYS ON Network, GABA German American Business Association of Northern California, the Logistics Initiative Hamburg, Hamburg Aviation, and Life Science Nord.
Our website, newsletters and calendar of events, as well as social media channels and the brand-new Members App offer information about current services and events. Members usually have free access to all networking events of Hamburg@work. Guests are welcome at all times and contribute by purchasing an admission ticket.

This includes events such as the Hamburger IT-Strategietage, the leading annual convention, open industry meetings such as the openDeck, the Business Breakfast, the CaptainsTalk and other CXO meetings for decision-makers and executives – to name but a few. A special highlight is the NEPTUNE Award, the annual cross-media competition. With the IT Executive Club, Hamburg@work has established a closed circle that facilitates collegial exchange between IT executives (CIO, IT managers) and IT users.

Its range of industry events is incredibly large and diverse. Hamburg@work offers its 1,500 members from over 600 member companies and its guests an ever-increasing range of industry events and networking opportunities in all spheres of the networked economy. In its role as an IT association, Hamburg@work is also committed to building bridges to other Hamburg-based business initiatives such as Life Science Nord, the Logistics Initiative and Hamburg Aviation.

The Hamburg@work membership card provides you with free admission to events hosted by Hamburg@work. In most cases, this also includes free food and beverage. Whenever this is not the case, it will be expressly noted on the invitation card. The number of membership cards issued depends on the type of membership and the contribution group agreed. Membership cards are not transferable to another person or another employee of the relevant company. In future, the traditional plastic card will be replaced by an electronic membership card.
As part of a corporate or individual membership, silver cards are issued to staff at all levels of a member company. Members with a silver card can enjoy e.g. the following benefits:

Gold cards with an executive status are issued only to executive members within the corporate membership category. Special benefits for members with gold cards include the following:

• invitations to selected third-party events (congresses, evening functions, press ball, Night of the Media (subject to availability)
