We match up companies willing to experiment with talented students from Hamburg universities and let them develop testable prototypes within just one semester. Keeping pace with the times, the teams in the lab work on technological challenges while receiving support from renowned industry experts.

The media industry is constantly changing, with technologies playing a major role. With the lab, our aim is to offer companies and talented students the opportunity to continuously shape and freely experiment with the digital future.

Mentors
We are looking for organizations and individuals with expertise in technology who would like to serve as mentors, designing and overseeing the project with us. Interested? Contact us by 30 May, 2019.

Partners
You are a media or digital company based in Hamburg? Then you have the opportunity to participate in the Prototyping Lab and have your own case created. The aim of the lab is to experiment with product and business ideas of the future through fresh perspectives offered by talented students. For further details contact us by 31 July, 2019.

Kick-off
The Prototyping Lab gets started:
At the kick-pff bar camp, students meet their contact persons from the companies, discuss initial project ideas, and form project teams.
How do new technologies change access to content? What new formats can emerge and how can one monetize them? The answers to these questiones will be pursued by the project teams starting in October and ending in January 2020.

Prototyping
Time to get started!
After forming teams at the kick-off bar camp and developing initial ideas, the next step is to develop prototypes. We can’t wait tosee first results and will keep you posted.
Phase 7
Wrap-up
We’re excited – In January 2020 we’ll be seeing the final prototypes.
In January 2020, the teams at the wrap-up will showcase what they’ve been worked on during the three month prototyping lab.
You can attend as a guest, but there are a limited number of seats. We look forward to seeing and hopefully inspiring you to partake in future Prototyping Labs – since the next Lab is around the corner!
