It’s been a busy year, with three new innovation programs – Content Foresight, MEDIA LIFT, Prototyping Lab – and many more projects and events. We are grateful for the appreciation, your involvement in these intensive network innovation programs and the highly recognized results.
We’ve worked closely with the content and tech industry in Hamburg and beyond to foster and support innovation for media and tech such as with news, games, music, radio, film, TV, advertising, content platforms, SaaS and many more.
Together we have further developed Hamburg as the media capital!
As 2019 comes to a close, here are some highlights:
We presented the results of VR Prototyping Lab of our team up with HAW Hamburg, Universität Hamburg and their students as well as nextReality and our partners DER SPIEGEL, foodboom and Bauer Xcel for three mind-blowing prototypes.
We cooperated with Social Media Week to open the week about „Stories“ and talk with Christina Elmer (Spiegel Online), Johannes Klingebiel (Süddeutsche Zeitung) and Julian Kramer (Adobe) about the potentials of machine learning in media.
We announced the unprecedented incubator for media & tech called MEDIA LIFT in Hamburg and invited our network to collaborate.
We kicked-off Content Foresight Mobility with diverse partners such as Axel Springer, pilot and Wunder Mobility.
We presented a refreshed newTV Kongress together with our curators from Focus Group with speakers such as Fynn Kliemann and Henry Mason (Trendwatching).
We supported Young Leaders‘ Forum as part of the Hamburger Mediendialog of the city of Hamburg.
We partnered with Hamburg Innovation Summit.
We co-hosted MediaMatch at OMR with nma to talk to potential entrepreneurs and meet media experts from all over the world.
We launched BestCases about Blockchain in the media industry.
We took WUNDERPARC and SpaceWalk, two of our MEDIA LIFT batch 1 teams to Gamescom for them to get famous.
Our scoopcamp hosted speakers such as Alan Rusbridger (Reuters Institute), Anita Zielina (CUNY) and Shazna Nessa (The Wallstreet Journal).
We partnered with NEXT Conference for a Camp all about Prototyping.
We traveled to NYC MEDIA LAB Summit for an international exchange.
We celebrated the end of batch 1 MEDIA LIFT at our „Graduation Pitch“. Proud of all the 6 teams and their next, promising steps.
We partnered again with 12min.me for another session on Media Innovations.
AI Prototyping Lab kicked-off with Universität Hamburg, Hamburg Media School and FH Wedel and our partners DER SPIEGEL, N-JOY and Bauer Xcel Media.
We released our Predictions 2020 from experts such as Jeremy Kaplan (Tow-Knight Center) and Christopher Roskowetz (Jung von Matt/Tech) talking about the future of media.
